A book co-authored with Camil Ungureanu (Pompeu Fabra) and entitled Resurgent Far-Right Populism in Romania. Disenchantment and Hope at Europe’s Periphery is coming out this November in Routledge’s series Studies in Extremism and Democracy. Many thanks to everyone who supported this project along the way!
September 2026
My book Political Memory and the Aesthetics of Care (Stanford University Press) won the inaugural ECPR Onora O’Neill Political Theory Prize 2026.
Established by the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR), this new prize recognises the best book published in political theory over the past three years, celebrating contributions that cut across different traditions and methodologies. The accolade is named in honour of the influential philosopher Baroness Onora O’Neill, widely known for her transformative work on justice, ethics, and trust.
In other news, an episode dedicated to my overall understanding of political memory is now available courtesy to the Connecting Memories Podcast. Many thanks to Paul Leworthy for inviting me to speak about ‘Critique as Political Care: Democracy, Memory, Theory’.
